Pancakes and Peacocks | Issue 13

Greetings fellow Reimaginers

Can you believe we are already at the end of 2022? Wow. Sending this to you all a little earlier than normal as we wind down our work for the holidays.

I want to a moment to sincerely thank you all for continuing to read this little newsletter from me.

My year has honestly been a little real. It has been a year of change for me, that saw me getting married, moving country and continue to grow and define my own business. What I hadn't expected was how hard that might be, with all of those things being both exposing and brilliant all at once. If I had to give a word to describe this past year, I would say 'growth'.

But I also reflect on it with a sense of pride, for me and for all of you that I see growing, moving and expanding beyond what we have let ourselves think is possible for us. I am not talking about big wild changes here, I am talking about the little changes we make that show the world that we are loving ourselves just a little more. I see you so many of you doing that in your own ways.

I realised this year that my true purpose is seeped in the desire to support other humans to know and love themselves better. That's where Bloom (my new leadership accelerator for womxn) really came from.

Next year will see a little change to this newsletter, as I will be rebranding it a Bloom, where I will focus more on leading ourselves and leading others. Bloom might be a programme for womxn, but the newsletter will be written for all of you to stay with me for the ride.

Wishing you so much love as this year closes out and we enter 2023. I hope to see some of your beautiful faces on the various free webinars that I will have popping up (details of some of those below).

Big love, RPB ????

On the podcast

On the podcast, a brilliant new episode has dropped today with the fabulous Jack Villiers where we explore the fact that for some of us, our gift is not always obvious in the beginning, and that can lead us into thinking that we don’t have one. Take a listen here.

Don't forget to check out the previous episode also, with David Reay recently on the importance of understanding the stories we are telling ourselves as we noodled around self actualisation. David blesses us with total honesty, which I found so inspiring. Take a listen here.

A little from the blog

ARTICLE: The power of uniting a team

Having worked within the startup, scaleup and corporate world, I have witnessed first hand the relationship challenges that can blight our existence. Well meaning humans show up with their own agenda and fail to find the common ground needed to figure out how to work together.

A recent Forbes article gave the five most common reasons for leaving a role as:

  1. Toxic company culture (62%)
  2. Low salary (59%)
  3. Poor management (56%)
  4. Lack of healthy work-life boundaries (49%)
  5. Not allowing remote work (43%)

Culture is number one, but poor communications and expectation management are pretty much the root cause of the others also. All of these things are formed by our ability to relate to others.

Why is this not the most essential skill that we are trying to learn…?
