Palisis’ Growth and Holiday Celebration

As we wind down 2022, we naturally reflect on the happenings from the year, including growth, system enhancements, events, new partnerships, and our team. Between attending large industry shows, speaking at partner conferences, remaining in the top 10 tech providers for GetYourGuide, expanding our OTA lists and marketplace, and onboarding new customers, we would rate this year as an expansive year for Palisis and TourCMS. In Q4 alone, Palisis welcomed five new team members across various departments, and we are excited to introduce them properly.

Introducing?

Pablo Lujan and Jesús Donaire join the development team in Granada as senior developers with strong experience in Java.

Sebastien Eichler joins the support team in Granada with extensive experience in customer relationship management and technical support whilst being fluent in German, English, Spanish and French.

Francisco Martinez joins the TourCMS development team as a PHP developer in Granada with PHP and web developer expertise.

Jessica Gregory is taking on our Marketing Director role; she brings travel industry experience and an understanding of tour operations. She will be overseeing our marketing efforts and refreshes to our online presence from Glasgow.?

We have been experiencing growth across multiple departments, all whilst refining roles and leadership for a highly anticipated 2023. Our stable platform with rich features solidifies our competitive position in the market. It’s exciting to witness our sales team in action bringing new technology to clients, ready to offer a more customer-centric experience and increase sales.?

To celebrate our team, successes and coming out on the other side of COVID, our leadership planned an offsite Christmas party to gather the entire team for the first time in what we would consider far too long.?

On to the Celebration

Our very own Eduard Marti accepted the grand task of planning a surprise Christmas party for our team and later was nicknamed master of mystery. Our staff was only alerted to the airport destination. This felt like a momentous event to have everyone together from all parts of the world: Switzerland, Spain, South Africa, the Netherlands, England, Scotland, Bulgaria, and the US all gathering in-person.

The team landed in Barcelona on 13 December, and once everyone was collected from BCN, then we headed south on a Grupo Julià coach bus. En route, it was announced that we were headed to PortAventura World (theme park and resort) for a thrilling 24 hours of exhilarating rides, team building, meals, awards, and dancing (of course).?

A quick tour bus speech was given by our CEO, Marc Wieland, honouring how strange the last few years have been, but we can proudly say that we prevailed and did it together as a team. “A good team shines when we overcome mountains together—it’s time to celebrate our achievements.”

Some of the highlights included rollercoaster racing, competitive team challenges throughout Ferrari Land, embracing in-person, a lively dance floor at the discothèque, an award ceremony, F1 racing simulations, and turning off Slack for a full 24 hours.

The Palisis family leaned into the mystery of surprise and brought their young-at-heart spirits to the Spanish Coast for a well-deserved Christmas party.
