Pakistan: Ulema verdict on suicide attack and terrorism

The gathering of scholars and Sunnis has declared suicide attacks and acts of terrorism absolutely haram. In a large gathering in Karachi, the representative meeting presided over by Mufti Muneebur Rehman said in its declaration that the scholars are responsible for the security of the country. Standing with the institutions, the declaration also demanded that blasphemy be recognized as terrorism at the global level.

A clear stance on suicide attacks and acts of terrorism by the scholars of Ahl-e-Sunnah is a means of getting guidance from religious understanding. In January 2023, the opinion of the same type came out in the form of a fatwa from the major madrasahs and scholars of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. There are many reasons for terrorism in the world. In history, the attack of Muslim suicide bombers on Muslims is seen only in the form of Abdullah bin Sabah's Hashisheen. All Muslim schools of thought called him a terrorist and a killer of innocent Muslims. The new type of terrorism that Pakistan is concerned with is related to the intervention of international powers in the region and the efforts to make Muslims their subjects. In the rapidly changing world, Muslim states have been left behind. States are gaining strength through their markets, trade routes and acceptance of products. Nation-states have been assigned a special role in the international system. It is twofold. As a Muslim and ideological state, it has to manage twenty two million people. Pakistan wants to move forward with a balance.

It is not that the people of Pakistan do not understand the excesses of global colonialism, the rulers of other Muslim states and the people can also agree with each other in this regard. When Imran Khan was the Prime Minister, he spoke openly against the injustice and discriminatory policies of the world powers. In the United Nations General Assembly, he explained the causes of terrorism. Islamophobia was mentioned while explaining. It was also said that the conflicts of Kashmir and Palestine had not been resolved. The occupation of the innocent and innocent people of Afghanistan by the NATO coalition was called the cause of terrorism. Imran Khan talked about making the role of OIC effective. All the rulers like Imran Khan have been talking about this, not openly but in hints.

The backwardness and weakness of the Muslim states have increased problems for them and made them dependent on the states of the West that have been creating problems. Pakistan made great sacrifices to establish peace and stop the bloodshed in Afghanistan. When the Soviet Union occupied Afghanistan, the people of Pakistan set a wonderful example of brotherhood. They sheltered five million Afghan refugees, fought alongside the Afghan Mujahideen. , gave their blood. Certainly, there are forces active which present these sacrifices of Pakistan in a negative way before the Afghan people. Pakistan opened its doors to the peaceful Afghan people. India established its bases in Afghanistan and these groups used against Pakistan who were angry with Pakistan for some reason. Pakistan organized its policy in the war against terrorism from two aspects and made it clear to the United States and NATO that Pakistan wants a solution to the Afghan conflict through peace talks instead of war.

On the other hand, Pakistan welcomes those who live a peaceful life and give up militancy on its soil. Many militants took advantage of Pakistan's offer, but it is surprising that some groups continue to pose a threat to Pakistan's security by neglecting the interests of Pakistan, Afghan Mujahideen and local forces seeking regional peace. It is not a difficult question because of whose policies the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan. But the question is certainly difficult that why the group that considers itself a part of the Afghan Taliban is not showing brotherhood with Pakistan like the Afghan Taliban. TTP's polite tone towards the Ulama is admirable but the recent suicide attack in the Police Lines Mosque in Peshawar has increased the concern of the Ulama of Pakistan as to who these people are who are destroying mosques and worshippers. Innocent people die from terrorism and suicide attacks; these are people who are not involved in harming any group or country in any way. Then it is also important that what can be the justification of such actions against a Muslim state. Scholars of all schools of thought are declaring terrorism absolutely haram.
