Painting Solution Architecture And Work-Life Balance

Many of our lives are about managing a fine balance between working/living and my abstract painting attempts to address the concepts in a couple of ways.

Firstly, it answers my own question about solution architecture: How can I represent a solution in artistic form?

It should be elegant, robust, balanced, cohesive, and connected BUT not a diagram!

Secondly, the painting shows the two sides of my life to be viewed in either portrait direction which is why I've signed it twice. One end is business the other is personal. Like many of us, this is a continuously moving split and they can seep between each other. Each end has opposing light sources and colours chosen by my family to show how much my life depends on us being a joined-up unit. Outside is life experience and our ability to fit into it.

The Solution Architect/Work-Life Balance

Each stroke on the canvas is made using one type of palette knife with a squared edge and applied either horizontally or vertically. The painting style helps me relax, always presents a challenge when going into detail but satisfies my sense of order and control. A bit like being a solution architect...

Read more about it here https://maneshmistryart.com/architect-working. As with other paintings I've created recently, this fits into #cubism and attempts to present the real or conceptual subject matters from different viewpoints.

The Solution Architect/Work-Life Balance – Oils on canvas 60×90 cm. Available framed but still drying.
