Paintbox and beyond.

As I turn 50 years old (I know right!), I reflect on the last 30 years of my career in the design industry. It's been an incredible journey, and I've learned so much along the way. From the early days of Quantel paintbox and 3d animation on an Amiga! to the latest developments in real time rendering and AI, I've seen the industry change and evolve in countless ways.

As the founder of my own motion design company, I've had the privilege of working with some of the most talented and creative people in the industry. Together, we've produced countless projects for clients in a wide range of industries, from advertising to fashion and beyond. From making dancing robots, filming 1000 people in a studio in Bulgaria to creating a stop motion animation on skin, this job has never been boring.

Despite all the changes and challenges over the years, I still love my role as the founder of my company. I'm constantly inspired by the creativity and passion of my team, and I'm excited to see what we can achieve together in the years to come.

One of the things that has kept me engaged and enthusiastic about the motion design industry is the constant stream of new developments in technology and creativity. From new software and hardware tools to innovative techniques and approaches to design, there's always something new to explore and experiment with no matter the shape and size.

Of course, not everything that's new is necessarily better, and there are always risks and challenges associated with trying out new tools and techniques. But as someone who's been in the industry for three decades, I've learned that it's important to embrace change and take risks in order to stay relevant and competitive.

At the same time, I've also learned the importance of staying true to our core values as a company. We prioritise collaboration, creativity, and innovation, and we strive to create work that is not only visually stunning but also meaningful and impactful for our clients and their audiences.

Looking back on my career so far, I'm proud of what I've accomplished and grateful for all the amazing people I've worked with along the way. And as I look to the future, I'm excited to continue learning, growing, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the motion design industry. Bring on the next 30 years!
