Pain And Suffering, Being Borderline Delusional, Best April Fools’ Joke Ever

Pain And Suffering

The NVIDIA CEO recently said he wishes more young people experience pain and suffering because there’s success on the other side.

I wholeheartedly agree. These days are definitely much different than when I was growing up.?

We got gritty just living and surviving.?

Nowadays, everyone’s all sensitive. Nobody wants to offend anyone. They give up without resistance. Everyone gets a participation medal.?

If you lose, you should feel the burn. Feel the pain of discomfort. That’s how you learn and adjust.

There’s no better teacher than coming up short when you gave it your everything.?

The fire molds you, shapes you, and hardens you.?

Adversity can be your worst enemy… or it can be your best friend if you let it.

Being Borderline Delusional

All of us MMA fighters share a common trait.?

We are borderline delusional ?? and it’s hard for others to see what we envision. I mean, look at what we do.

We train relentlessly in the gym and get paid to dismantle another man for the entertainment of others.?

The unforgiving nature of this sport is that there are no guarantees. One person will walk away a loser. But both sides believe they will be victorious. Both sides may believe they’ll be champion one day.

We can’t all be right.?

But that mystery of the unknown is compelling. I love this shit!

Pretty thrilling if you can imagine ????

Best April Fools’ Joke Ever

This must’ve been at least 10 years ago. I was still working for Blue Shield of California at the time.

I left the office and when I returned, the homie Dac placed a giant fake sewer rat on my office chair!!

I didn’t see it until I was in sitting motion and as soon as I saw that thing… I jumped up and screamed like a cartoon!! ?? ???

I almost had a heart attack. Enjoy the video here at my expense. It’s really epic and he got me good.

Spring Break

We just wrapped up an incredible spring break trip to San Diego??.

Rented an Airbnb with some friends and the kids. Took the kids to Lego Land and went to the beach. Had an absolute blast.

On the way back, we had the pleasure of stopping by Astor Club in LA to grab some goodies ??

What a trip it was… ??

It’s good to get away sometimes. Traveling is cool, but now I’m back and there’s no place like home.?

Back to the lovely pursuit of greatness with my team. We’re preparing for something big in June or July ???? Holla!

Getting punched in the face is great preparation for life...especially as a small business owner....Graduate degrees do not confer resilience.... ?? ??

?? I believe that hardship often fosters resilience. I think of the fact that plants thrive in harsh conditions, where plants develop adaptations like deep root systems or thick cuticles to conserve water. Just as it is with plants, the hardships enables us to thrive DESPITE adversity.
