Pain
The week has been a blur. This week we launched Learning Motors (our startup) and this week we had this momentous election.
There is a lesson in every win and loss. Sometimes you are so engrossed, you forget to reach out to touch the lives of those who have less. And more importantly do something to make things better.
We are privileged. Yes, we have had to overcome our challenges but now we are here. My biggest lesson has been to double down on giving and making things better for others. Rest will follow.
Learning Motors will be my effort to do just that.
Let's never lose sight of the pain of those who have less, who have everything to lose, and those who suffer. Because the pain of that rust belt worker who loses his job is that same as the immigrant whose family is uprooted. We are all together in our pain.
Hurt is not racist or elitist. Deep down, behind the fa?ade of our disappointments and our anger, there is usually some hurt that was overlooked. Let's focus on that. That should be the big lesson of this election.

8 年Well said, Punit! If we're in a position to help and take action, we really ought to. This election was a wake up call for many of us.

8 年I agree. Before we do any cool tech innovation, trade deals, etc. that supposedly automate and save costs, we should see social aspect of it and think about how to protect livelihood of displaced workers. What is the use of heavy concentrated wealth of shareholders if it is coming at the cost of pain for others? May be set-side some money as "Success tax" to train those people to participate in new economy?
