We all experience pain at some point, whether physical, mental, emotional or so on.
However, how many of us have been handling it well?
Many have been dealing with it while others are struggling.
Nevertheless, I will help you manage your pain, specifically physical pain.
As we get older, we usually experience more pain.
?
What is Pain?
Pain is an uneasy or difficult feeling the body gives us to let us know something is wrong.
Pain can be experienced in many ways, such as debilitating, aching, throbbing, etc.
?
The two (2) types of pain
?Pain usually occurs in two (2) ways which are:
?1.
Acute Pain
Acute pain is the effect that happens suddenly and then usually goes away. An example of acute pain is hitting your knee on a desk, and then it eventually goes away.
?2.
Chronic Pain
Chronic pain is the effect that happens and does not go away within a reasonable time, such as three (3) months.
Chronic pain stays around longer and generally impacts your life negatively, such as being unable to be as flexible and mobile as before.
?
The Main Causes of Pain
?Pain is caused mainly by:
?1.
Injury
Injury is damage to your body from an incident. This incident can be a car accident, falling off your bicycle, cutting yourself with a knife, someone punching you, etc.
Injuries can be internal or external such as broken ribs (that is not showing outside the body) and bleeding from your broken skin respectively.
?2.
Medical conditions
Medical conditions like arthritis and back pains can cause a lot of pain.
The pain experienced is one of the adverse effects of having these medical issues.
?3.
Surgery
Pain after surgery (i.e., post-operative pain) is uneasiness or difficulty felt after you have surgery.
Having pain after surgery is guaranteed to happen as the body has been operated on. This medical procedure involves entering the body, and now it is in a state that is painful. This is followed by the uncomfortable feeling you go through when the body is returning to its natural state as best as possible.
?
?Effects of Pain
?Pain can affect you in many ways, which can lead to you not being able to experience your best life.
Nevertheless, pain is part of our existence as it helps to let us know that something is wrong.
Sometimes the effect of pain can be mild, and other times it can be excruciating.
Pain can be short (i.e., acute) or over a period of time (i.e., chronic).
There are circumstances when pain can lead to conditions such as:
?
Physical
·???????Dizziness
·???????Nausea
·???????Loss of function
?
Emotional
·???????Depression
·???????Anger

?How to handle pain
?There are two (2) main ways to deal with pain:
?1.
Stop whatever it is that is causing the pain
?Many times, we are the cause of the pain we are experiencing.
These days one of the primary reasons for pain is our lifestyle.
For example, many of us are sitting more today than ever before. As such, more people are having back pains.
This may be solved by standing up at half (1/2) hour intervals to help reduce, eradicate, and prevent the pain.
Other ways to reduce, stop, and prevent pain are:
?·???????Get regular exercises like walking, standing, and swimming which helps to stretch and keep muscles flexible, strengthen joints, etc.
·???????Eating healthy and enough fiber helps to prevent pain. This is because eating high-fiber foods assists in preventing dysbiosis.
Dysbiosis is when the microbes or gut bacteria become imbalanced, which disrupts the digestive system. This interruption may lead to diarrhea, constipation, indigestion, etc.
Dysbiosis is associated with inflammation and conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.
You may also use products that help to keep joints and the overall body healthy, which you may discover HERE.
