No Pain No Gain: Soreness & Muscle Growth

No Pain No Gain: Soreness & Muscle Growth

NO PAIN NO GAIN!

Your body CANNOT grow muscle mass unless you are SORE after a workout! Is that right?

??...Absolutely NOT! Let's break this down...

Post-exercise soreness, technically known as Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS), is not the ultimate marker of muscle growth. Rather, it's a sign of micro-damage caused to your muscle fibres during intense or unfamiliar exercise.

In fact, DOMS can sometimes hinder your progress by limiting your ability to train at full capacity. ??????

When you work out, your body will go through a repair process?in your muscle fibres, adapting to the stimulus provided by your strength training,?and growing more muscle tissue. This?process doesn't always result in soreness, especially once your body becomes familiar with the activity. In essence, less soreness could mean that your body is adapting efficiently to your workout routine.?

Remember, the real indicator of muscle growth is progress in your strength and endurance over time. Consistency, a well-designed training plan, good nutrition, and adequate recovery - that's the winning combo for muscle growth. So, don't use soreness as a gauge for the effectiveness of your workout. Focus on improving your performance, and the muscle growth will follow.?

Strength isn’t built in a day, but everyday.

So, keep lifting, keep progressing, and let's build some strong bodies! ????
