• Cryptocurrency wallets that allow users to store their cryptocurrency tokens without features of buying, selling, swapping, or staking their cryptocurrency tokens.

Our recommendations: Use Meta for the first launches. Meta is good to use for brand awareness, conversion campaigns and app solutions. It is possible to get the first set of data to form a unit economy. However, you need to be prepared that the account can be blocked and it will not be possible to return to it. The blocking may not be related to what you are advertising.

The following is allowed:

• Business not pertaining to the purchase, holding, or exchange of cryptocurrencies, subject to other Google Ads policies.
• Examples: Businesses accepting payment in cryptocurrency, cryptocurrency mining hardware, tax and legal services, security services, platforms that rely on blockchain for operations and do not market or sell cryptocurrencies or tokens, educational materials.
• The following cryptocurrency products and services may only be advertised if the advertiser is a licensed provider, the products and ads comply with local laws and industry standards, and the account is certified by Google.

Cryptocurrency Exchanges and Wallets

• If you meet the requirements, apply for certification. If you want to advertise in more than one country/region, submit a separate application for each country/region.

Our recommendations: Google is great to use for brand awareness (YouTube + GDN). Also, you can use GDN for remarketing campaigns and, of course, Google Search Ads. We suggest paying attention to the Performance Max campaign type.

Our recommendations: In our practice, using Twitter ads did not work. We immediately received blocks, without explanation. If you manage to make launches (without a friend in the Twitter office), share your experience with us, please :) Although blocks can happen, Twitter is a great way to grow the community, many projects use various giveaway mechanics.

• Ads promoting virtual currencies/cryptocurrencies (e.g. Bitcoin and Ethereum), as well as cryptocurrency trading platforms, wallets and advisory services and NFT trading/investments are prohibited.

• Ads related to cryptocurrency/virtual currencies, including trading and advisory platforms, must comply with all applicable laws, regulations and licensing requirements. Individual coins may be promoted by approved trading platforms. Ads may only target 18+ and must include proper disclaimers.?

Restricted in the following countries: Bahrain / BH, Egypt / EG, Iraq / IQ, Jordan / JO, Kuwait / KW, Lebanon / LB, Morocco / MA, Oman / OM, Qatar / QA, Saudi Arabia / SA, Turkey / TR, and United Arab Emirates / UAE.

• Ads that promote following financial services: credit card, loans, securities and fintech must comply with relevant laws and regulations and be licensed by regional authority. Ads may also need to target 18+ only.?

Our recommendations: Of all regions, only the Middle East was successful. However, after a few weeks, we got the ban.?

Coinzilla and Bitmedia

Other great services similar to Google Display Network inside the crypto community are Coinzilla and Bitmedia. CPMs are not cheap, but you can get great conversions on the LPs because of the relevant audience. If your analytics are set up correctly, you can understand the results of the campaigns.
