To misunderstand or be misunderstood. To judge or hold a grudge.

To get it a little wrong because of language or culture. Or not being prepared to walk away when th8ngs are a bit tough going

Or by doing things differently, based on best practise or success observed or participated in in other global destinations. By disrupting the status quo.

This can feel risky and strange to those needing to change possibly .

I absolutely love Palma de Mallorca. 

It took just one look and I was hooked.

Miss moolaylala my feisty welsh friend was hooked and wanted to help those that needed it

The Franciscan fathers who were so generous and loving. So kind when their closed doors, opened in the spirit of absolute care and compassion to me.

The beautiful places 

The tapas 

The music 

The ways of siestas and smashing things to do.

Clear water to jump in

Heady delights from gorgeous view.

Friends and food 

Partners and perfect ways to start and finish the day

I didn’t want to leave this world, removed from a hard reality in Western Europe. 

My team helped bring attention to a new entrepreneurial vision for Palma Beach last year pro bono, which we hi-lighted for all there at our media event. 

And that vision remains a possibility.

Its big thinking and a strategic revision top down which is needed pdq and then implemented we still believe.

 A bold presidential lead is needed. 

Money and what it’s spent on needs review on how and what it’s spent on in our view to get a much better return in the investment.

 It’s that important.

Love island that British TV “classic” millions of British viewers, may bring in many British clients wanting sun and fun but, 

I feel we need to be careful. 

Too many cruisers walking around in the same place not spending, can have the same negative news and consequences as the Germans and British all beefed up, loved up and behaving very very badly. 

I saw it. It was utterly awful. Tourists go home ?

And I ....well. I wouldn’t tolerate the nonsense.

 I did something about it. Most don’t.

As owners, exemplified by the leader of Hiphotels and his daughters invest many many millions in new luxury products, as did I in a smaller way, unless the government and ministries keep pace, are open and transparent, work together,  the real potential won’t be realised and sun needing Western European clients will simply change places and sail off ...to Greece.L

This is happening this year: Greece and Dubai have taken Mallorca number 1 market. Us British. 

I said this would happen. I hate being right in an instance like this but it was obvious back in November 2017 at WTM London.

 Mallorca had a poor show relative to the competition.

That wasn’t necessary.

We knew.

..we know how to tackle that very challenging problem and will share gratis as the islands youth and many many depend on tourism for their daily bread 

And that, not just in the summer but in this new world, certainly shoulder seasons also. Another 16 weeks of good trading would be utterly transformative for the economy.

So Jesus my Director Palma de Mallorca is there to meet you. 

I’m here currently in Wales ready with Richard in London and Jo in Dubai, Nadeen in Holland, Alex in KL and one or two others quietly currently in the background: keeping me on track as we all need a guiding hand and caring voice to succeed.

Summers are for happy days. 

I hope this summer in Mallorca is a successful and happy season for all
