Packaging Engineer Contracts Please

Packaging Engineer Contracts Please

Plain and simple, I'm looking to get back into working on the production line as a packaging engineer. As a personal and company goal for 2020, I want to get back into this "line" of work. Usually when you join a company, you are assigned a role. Being given an opportunity to find something that I enjoy doing is just another perk of joining EIS.

2D Data matrix, GS1-128 Barcode, ISO 15415, Track and Trace.... what are these terms? You'll learn right away once the FDA enforces serialization requirements. Why is serialization needed? The simple answer is you want to know where your medicine is being produced and if it's expired. Serialization is now even being used on wine and whiskey... who wants to drink that counterfeit stuff?

This is a picture of a Zebra ZE500. After cartons are packed, they could be aggregated to another case. In this example, the printer will print a shipping label on the case before it goes to a palletizer. Some issues you can run into is timing of when the label is being applied and if the applicator will dent the shipping case. You can't see the camera from this angle.

This is a Basler camera that is powered over ethernet. Configuring this bad boy is easy, but setting up the camera to take quality photos is the hard part. You'll learn about aperture, rolling shutter, polarizing filters, and any other Kodak terms when you need to pass your qualification run that was due last week.

I notice on LinkedIn that there are job postings that you can apply for. You attach a resume and click submit. There are even positions in Boulder, CO that I applied for and it gets overlooked. Seems like you have to write an article to show that you aren't lying on your resume... must be a 2020 thing. Amerge, Vetolin, Shingrix, Tivicay, Sentinel Spectrum... any of these sound familiar? Well yours truly (no not the hard seltzer) worked on these serialization project with an amazing group of people that I still keep in contact with.

What are you waiting for? I'll now find out how fast a recruiter will reach out to me after posting this article. And for this year only, we'll give you the first hour free and a universal USB charger WITH LED. This deal has never been done before!
