PACKAGED COMPONENT AND DEPLOYMENT

Package your?process?

1. Click on the Create Packaged Component tab on the top right corner of the build page.?

2. Select Next: Add Details?

3. Version for all: Give the version on your own or it will take default as 1.0 and from next it will increment to previous value.?

Package Notes for All: Give the notes of what you have changed in the process to identify.?

Select Create Packaged Component.?

4. Will get the popup that it got successfully created. Click on Deploy.?

Deploy your?process?

1. Deployment Environment: Select in which environment you want to deploy the process.?

Deployment Notes: Give the notes of what you have changed in the process to identify.?

Click on Next: Select Version?

2. Click on Next: Review

3. Select Deploy.?

4. Deployment was successful. If you want to view the deployment tab, then select View Deployments.?

5. The Deployments page with your deployed process is displayed.?

Why the Packaged component comes into the picture??

Previously the deployment created with new version for each environment then the people may get confused whether the same versioned process is deployed to QA and PROD.?

To check that version, we need to go for deployment comparisons for both QA and PROD in separate tabs. ?

So, for this they introduced Packaged Component. If we deploy with Packaged Component in QA, then we can deploy the same packaged version in PROD.?
