Pack Your Bag For a New Beginning

On a day like today, around nine years ago, I was packing my bag for the journey that would eventually change my life…
To tell you a bit about myself at that time; for like 15 years, I have been on airplanes more than I have taken Buses… so Flying for me wasn't really a big deal but more of a day-to-day experience rather than anything else, and packing for a trip was not something special… But on that night, it was?different… You see, I was flying OUT…?Out of my old life, out of my past, and especially out of my present.
I was not trying to escape from tomorrow, I was simply signing off on the last page of the book of my life story today and starting a new book with the story that will BEGIN tomorrow.
At many points in our life, we feel that we need to start over, to experience something new, to change our lives and move forward to a brighter day, we close our eyes, and we pray really hard, hoping for the moment where we will open our eyes and realize that all of our issues are gone…
Well, the big and most important point we try to skip is not the decision of starting over or having?a new beginning, but it’s more related to the bag-pack we will have on that day… What will it include?
A?Beginning, by definition, is the first starting point of “anything,”; so on your timeline of thoughts, a beginning shouldn’t be the “continuity” of the past… but the start of something new… But let’s face it, how could you FLY if you can’t let go of the things that weigh you down? How can you move on when you can’t let go of the things that made you miserable in the first place?

It’s that night where you need to decide to leave so many things behind,?– Unfortunately, things to let go will include both GOOD and BAD –; pack your bag with the things you will need for your next journey… and Move on… That’s this week’s Tip.?
"Make no mistake, your relationships are the heaviest components in your life."
The following is a speech from the movie up in the air, starring George Clooney as?Ryan?Bingham.?I kinda relate so much to this movie, and although it may seem a bit harsh, it does have a lot of?truth in it, depending on where you stand right now…
How much does your life weigh? Imagine for a second that you’re carrying a backpack. I want you to pack it with all the stuff that you have in your life… you start with the little things. The shelves, the drawers, the knickknacks, then you start adding larger stuff. Clothes, tabletop appliances, lamps, your TV… the backpack should be getting pretty heavy now. You go bigger. Your couch, your car, your home… I want you to stuff it all into that backpack. Now I want you to fill it with people. Start with casual acquaintances, friends of friends, folks around the office… and then you move into the people you trust with your most intimate secrets. Your brothers, your sisters, your children, your parents and finally your husband, your wife, your boyfriend, your girlfriend. You get them into that backpack, feel the weight of that bag. Make no mistake your relationships are the heaviest components in your life. All those negotiations and arguments and secrets, the compromises. The slower we move the faster we die. Make no mistake, moving is living. Some animals were meant to carry each other to live symbiotically over a lifetime. Star crossed lovers, monogamous swans. We are not swans. We are sharks.
Enjoy your Week!
