DO YOU HAVE A PACESETTER?
In life and in Business we can achieve many a milestone and become highly successful if we have a Pacesetter. So, what is a Pacesetter? Pacesetter in this context is not an equipment, it’s a person who is or has been highly successful and prosperous in a particular area of activity, profession or industry that you could secretly admire and draw inspiration from. So, here are some ways to identify who could be an ideal Pacesetter for you:
Irrespective of whether you are a sportsperson, student, business owner, employee, homemaker, we all could have a pacesetter.
Why do you need a Pacesetter?
Pacesetter is to you, a source of inspiration. You follow their progress unknown to them and make your best effort to catch up and if possible, even do better than them. The idea of having a pacesetter is to be able to challenge yourself to keep on going on. A fire in your belly to overtake them with a sense of a healthy competition is good for you to keep the pace of your own progress in life and your profession. Do not disclose this as a Goal to anyone as the idea is not to have a public contest. Having a pacesetter may help you convert your desire to achieve a goal into a burning desire. Without a pacesetter your progress may not be as consistent as it should be in order to be highly successful and prosperous.
Most Highly successful Sportsperson, Businessmen, Speakers, Musicians and other such individuals would have had a Pacesetter whom they would have emulated and looked up to for inspiration to keep them going.
Here are some ways to identify and select a pacesetter for yourself:
a) My personal choice and recommendation would be a Person who is ideally from the same profession as you. (Profession in this context means an area of activity and may include industry, sports, college/school etc)
b) Someone who is in your city or someone who you could easily follow on social media or any other channel to learn what they are doing regularly.
c) Should be successful and prosperous in their life and profession.
d) Alternatively, it could be someone from anywhere in the world who has been successful and prosperous in the past or is in the present.
OR You could have 2 Pacesetters. One for Life whom you emulate and ultimately become and the second for now who could be keeping you going.
Once you identify what do you do?
a) Study their achievements
b) Study and learn what their core values are.
c) Follow them closely on Social Media and / or any other Media they may be actively posting their achievements or activities.
d) Find out what is their mantra for success or the actions that they take consistently to be prosperous and successful.
e) Most importantly all the above findings and the time spent would go waste if you do not take immediate action in your own progress based on what appeals to you.
The Only way you would make fast progress is by learning from their achievements and put the same into action in YOUR OWN WAY. Remember, It is not necessary to copy and do exactly what they did always. Some places you may be required to make changes that suit your progress towards your Goals.

4 年I like this concept. I always look for pacesetters and the great achievement is when you reach them ( doesn't mean you are better than them) and look for the next pacesetter.
