PA Court System Hit with Denial-of-Service Attack

Keep Your Enterprise Systems Available in the Cloud

A security blind spot for many, the Pennsylvania (PA) Court System suffered a denial-of-service (DoS) attack against several public-facing cloud applications. Based on preliminary research, it appears that the court system did implement some services to help with availability, like Azure's Traffic Manager. However, the DoS was still successful as it impacted not just the court system, but many PA residents. There are many other security measures that could have kept these critical systems online or at least made the attacker try much harder to knock these applications offline.
