For the ophthalmic industry specifically, we can provide precision measurement of a lens whilst it remains on its surfacing support block. ?Or, if the lens has been removed from its surfacing support block, then precise measurement of both machined optical surfaces of the lens is also possible, and in direct relation to one another. This is a process to investigate the accuracy of the surface form and manufacturing process of a lens; with possible comparison to the cutting file sent to the surfacing machines in the first place.?
