Oxford Optical Laboratories announce new data capture product for ophthalmic lens testing.

Oxford Optical Laboratories have announced a new software product to capture data from digital lens meters and integrate with lab management systems for automated pass/fail, quality control and data tracking. The system is compatible with data-enabled lens meters including Nidek LM-7/600/1000/1800 and Visionix VX40 systems.

A bar code scanner is used to call-up unique job data and target parameters for direct comparison with the measured values. The system then reports a pass/fail result and stores the data back into the lab management system.

The cost-effective system greatly enhances the functionality of the digital lens meter and provides lab managers with an improved level of traceability and quality control. The system then allows for statistical process control for proactive monitoring of production data; detecting drifts and changes before they impact yield.
