Sunday again.

Another fortnight in recruitment, another game of musical chairs - except half the candidates won’t sit down, and the hiring managers keep changing the tune.

Actual job openings are up 4.3%, but applications are down 6%, is this another nail in the job board coffin?

To compound this, 63% of hiring managers are battling budget constraints, which will hopefully ease up from April - while we continue to see candidates expect Premier League salaries for National League North experience.

There are actually quite a few positives to this in our opinion;

1. The chancers/CV shovers/shit munchers are not getting the placements they used to get and are fucking off to estate agency or selling utility warehouse - making the industry a better place.
2. Clients are doing far more due diligence and not accepting sub standard practices. Cred decks are going a long way to build trust and authority pre terms of business agreement.
3. Businesses are being a lot leaner and not bloating out their tech stacks with shite software they don't need - and are moving toward a more streamlined approach with multi-purpose CRMs (we use Loxo and it's an absolute game changer!).
