Under weaknesses we've put; regularity and consistency when it comes to creating newsletters.

Only newsletters though, we're pretty good at everything else.

In fact we've had a pretty busy start to 2025 with some fantastic new clients - which is lovely. We always ask clients why they choose to work with us exclusively, as opposed to other agencies or recruiters and rather interestingly one said;

'We were approached by a very pushy recruiter who only really wanted to tell us how well known they were and how great their reputation was. They didn't want to listen to us and actually told us how we were wrong about a number of different things - including how management structure! Suffice to say we didn't want to continue the conversation with them'

We have two ears and one mouth for a reason - you should be listening more than you speak. I think a lot of the time people are scared of silence - sometimes silence can be good.

It’s in those moments of quiet, where you’re not filling the air with sales pitches, that clients start to see your intentions. They realise you’re not just trying to win their business—you’re trying to understand it.

When we reflect on what we’ve heard from clients, one theme is clear: they’re tired of being told what they need before they’ve had a chance to explain their challenges. And really, who can blame them? Imagine walking into a doctor’s office, and before you’ve said a word, the doctor starts scribbling down a prescription. You’d probably find another doctor—and fast.

We believe business relationships should be built on empathy and understanding, not assumptions. That’s why our approach is built around listening first, collaborating second, and delivering third. It’s not rocket science, but in an industry where noise often drowns out substance.

So while we’ll admit our newsletters could be better (and they will be, we promise!), we’re proud that our conversations with clients are always on point. After all, great relationships—and great results—don’t come from talking endlessly about how great you are. They come from shutting up, tuning in, and showing clients you actually get it.

Now, if only we could apply the same philosophy to writing newsletters…

OX Seven Creative Partners is a small but growing recruitment consultant based in a little town called Brackley. We cover most of the UK and specialise in placing permanent candidates in to jobs in the Marketing, Digital, Social Media, Events and Experiential industries.
