Owning your Superpowers!

RSI’s WELCOME Group (Women Empowering Leadership & Collaborating Monthly towards Excellence) held another fantastic session this month! We’ve been coming together for the past year and a half, to strengthen each other based on our diverse backgrounds, experiences and locations.

Our topic this month was Owning your Superpowers, and we took the opportunity to take a brief VIA Assessment (https://www.viacharacter.org/character-strengths) and learn how gravitating towards our natural strengths can help us develop stronger teams and self-awareness. It was interesting to note how working as a team, playing off strengths can help us succeed and see a project to completion. We need those with an eye for Appreciation of Beauty & Excellence to help us savor the beauty of clean code or a well-presented idea. We revel in colleagues with Bravery that take a leap of faith to pursue something new and those whose Love helps build deep and lasting relationships. Prudence helps us see the pros/cons of a situation and balance the desire to run off into the sunset! Honesty allows our friends to speak the truth & take responsibility, and Leadership brings together all the different groups. 

All our Superpowers help us shine in our unique way. We invite you to reflect on your Superpowers and how you can use them to amplify teammates’ abilities and in turn enrich your own lives!
