So now that you’ve aligned on goals with your SEO agency, how do you measure a successful performance??
To quickly recap on part 1, these are the things to be sure about at the start of your relationship with an agency:?
You’ve definitely heard us say it before, and we’ll say it one more time for those at the back, but SEO is a long term game. This means that you cannot expect to be seeing significant impact at least for the first few months when working with the agency, so how do you know whether they’re doing a good job??
The way in which you will be able to measure the success of the work is by relating it back to your original goal - is it brand awareness, is it traffic, is it leads? From there, you can keep track of the performance of these metrics on a regular basis (quarterly is advised given the long-term goal aspect).?

Working successfully with an SEO agency isn’t all about the metrics though - your agency should be invested in nurturing the relationship with you, by communicating frequently, being transparent about where things may have gone wrong and providing you with monthly reports.?
Due to the very nature of SEO being a longer-term strategy, end goals of projects can go quite far into the future, so regular check-ins are important so that you know that you’re getting your money’s worth!?
