Owner-Operator’s Midstream Sourcing Solution: The ARS Origin Story
To provide smarter sourcing solutions for the midstream oil & gas industry, Tyler Williams founded ARS Global in 2014. ARS Global, which stands for Asset Redeployment Solutions Global, is a peer-to-peer sourcing company that can consignment-sell products for the owner and/or purchase pipeline project materials depending on clients’ needs.
The business model creates a “win-win” solution for pipeline owner-operators, both on the buying and selling side. Inventory is readily accessible and discounted for buyers, and sellers benefit from a return approximately 40% greater than alternatives.
ARS Global started because its founder, Tyler Williams, recognized a need in the industry created by an evolution in the market and a gap in project sourcing services.
Founded with Pipeline Management In Mind
Tyler grew up working in pipe yards, learning about the details of pipeline construction and asset management through direct, hands-on work. Since 1994, his family’s company has removed 2,500 miles of old transmission lines, ranging in sizes from 12” to 36” pipe.
A decade ago, Tyler noticed that the availability of pipeline products was going to be a major driver for sourcing pipeline construction. The market was shifting away from inventory-heavy companies. The new way of doing business and managing assets required less inventory and depended on more availability of JIT (just-in-time) supply.
Evolution of Pipeline Project Supply Market
Modern pipeline project management focused on optimizing returns and reducing costs should not involve holding and managing inventory. The new business curriculum doesn't benefit from large inventory stocks, which accumulate on books but lose value over time. Availability, therefore, became a major driver for the industry.

To meet these changing needs in the market, ARS Global offers an alternative to sellers looking to divest unused and depreciating assets off their books while also providing the availability buyers need when constructing new pipelines. ARS Global also offers storage solutions for clients, which prevents owner-operators from holding too much inventory in between pipeline projects.
Available Sourcing Resources
ARS Global has two storage facilities in both Texas and Oklahoma available for use by its clients. If they want to sell the materials to potential buyers, ARS Global’s buying platform can list the inventory for interested parties to bid on it. The owner then evaluates offers and decides whether to sell or keep the asset. Sellers avoid surplus, and buyers have immediately accessible inventory.
The Future of ARS Global
ARS Global is positioned to not only understand the strengths and pain points of its midstream partners but also respond to those needs. ARS Global provides efficiency and greater returns to its partners.
Customers may need support with larger projects, understanding and leveraging market availability, and minimizing write-downs. ARS Global is optimally positioned to secure funding for any project and support industry needs as required by partners.
