Own Your Name and Embrace Who You Are

Own Your Name and Embrace Who You Are

Growing up, I was insecure about my own name.

?

I thought Goldstein was the most Jewish name imaginable, and for some reason, I was insecure about my Jewish roots.

?

So I contemplated changing my name. And I went through a sort of "identity crisis" where I was afraid to own who I was.

?

But eventually, I got tired of running away and trying to be somebody else. And a question began to form in my mind…

?

"What if I were to OWN my background? What if I were to embrace it?"

?

So I made a decision, after years of being insecure about my name and my roots, to completely own it. To embrace my name and my Jewish origins.

?

So I made a trip to Israel. I learned the language, connected with the people, and immersed myself in the culture.

?

And the strangest thing happened…

?

I no longer felt the desire to hide my background or change my name and identity. I felt proud of it.

?

And that insecure feeling I had felt my whole life vanished, and it was replaced with a strong, grounded confidence in myself and who I am.

?

Rather than changing my name or running from it, I decided to PROMOTE it. I made it the center of my brand — Dave Gold Evolve — and it became my unique trademark.

?

And I've never looked back.

?

Anyway, I'm telling you this story because I realize that I'm not the only one who has struggled with this. I've had students who have gone through this exact same thing.

?

The fact is that MANY guys are insecure about their names or their background. So they want to change it.

?

And whenever I hear this, I know what they're going through, because I've been there.

?

But I give them the same advice every time…

?

Own your name.

?

Own your background.

?

Own your quirks and flaws and imperfections.

?

Embrace who you are.

?

Because it's these things that make you UNIQUE.

?

And when you're building a personal brand, uniqueness is what sets you apart from all the other generic guys out there, and magnetically attracts people to you.

?

But it's easier said than done, I know. So if you struggle with this and would like some personal help, I'm here for you.

?

I've helped dozens of guys reach a place of self-acceptance and self-love so that they can radiate confidence and charisma.

?

And I've helped them create epic personal brands that allow them to attract far more business and networking opportunities than they could ever imagine.

?

So if you'd like some free tips on how to do that, drop a "embrace yourself" in the comments and we'll have a no-strings-attached chat to help you thrive.

?

With love,

Dave
