Own your future #recruitment

Own your future #recruitment

Do you struggle with the thought that you must decide about your future today? And there is no turning back? Do you think that every role has a clearly defined career map? That going to a specific university will limit your career options in the future? Take a deep breath, relax, and read the following sentence aloud: the future is filled with endless possibilities, and I will find the right path for me.

Together with our friends from EvoCariera , we started a webinar series designed for high schoolers eager to find out more about different roles in IT companies. The Yonderists have a lot of beautiful, interesting stories about themselves and their career path, and we thought this might be a good chance to write some of them down. We want to put in the spotlight that everyone’s journey is different, there are no right or wrong paths, and what’s yours, will eventually find you.

The first webinar was dedicated to the recruitment department. So today we get to know better Adelina, Flavia, and Mara. Right now, all of them have the same daily responsibilities – identifying the hiring needs (open positions, candidate profile), preparing job descriptions, planning the recruitment strategy, screening and shortlisting candidates, interviewing and selecting the right candidates, preparing the offer, and of course, ensuring the employee onboarding.

But let’s dig into their past and background, shall we?

Flavia

  • 23 years old, she can count on her fingers the times she refused anyone who has asked her to join them on a walk, drive around, deliver food to a sick friend or even help an acquaintance move out
  • Owns a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Computer Science, accompanied by internship experiences in those two different fields.
  • The best part about being a recruiter for her: she likes meeting so many people, of different ages, with different stories, from whom she can learn continuously.
  • Main skill needed for this role in her opinion: to be open, to know how to connect with others.

”My advice for anyone with doubts about the future is to not be afraid of new experiences. Also, when an opportunity comes, give it a chance, you never know what it could bring to you. Always stay curious!”

3 recruiters, 3 different stories.

Every one of them is doing their work exceptionally even though they have completely different backgrounds. And we are grateful to have them on our team.?
