Overwhelmed... and busy

A couple of weeks have passed since I announced I'm looking for work - and it's time to count my blessings and thank all who have been in touch!

Within hours of stating I'm to leave Coventry 2021, the phone started ringing...

Actually, that's a fib, it seems to be all about emails, WhatsApp and messenger nowadays, but you get the idea!

As well as a great opportunity to fill half of my time with a national charity (more details to be shared this week), I have been blown away by the response from my LinkedIn network and beyond...

Past partners have asked me to help again and folk from all walks of life invited me to help their charities: Interest has come from children's causes, education, sport, hospices, churches, arts.... Ah, you get the idea!

I still have the odd day available if you are looking for a fundraiser with charisma, skills, a proven track record and immeasurable modesty.

I am partly writing this as the rumour mill is a remarkable thing! I leave 2021 on good terms, not having been pushed and not in desperation, simply looking forward to a fresh challenge and the opportunity to be deeply involved in the strategic planning of some super charities. Working once more at a director level, with oversight of planning and all organisational functions, will be a real joy and I am truly excited about all that lies ahead.

Thanks to all for being in touch - and for the offers of a bizarre selection of jobs: Although I love the staff at the local Wetherspoons, I won't be at the City Arms behind the bar just yet!
