Hey, a gig's a gig, right?
After all, no-one's gonna see it in the States, are they?...are they?
From the benighted Cameron Roach era at Sky One; the car crash that was You, Me & The Apocalypse; Rob Lowe (again), Jenna Fischer and Megan Mullaly...what were you thinking?
Michael (Terminator/Aliens) Biehn and Billy (Titanic) Zane pick up their cheques for slumming it in Sky One's Curfew.
The late Rutger Hauer & Kelsey Grammar in Dave's Porters...why, lads, why?
Sigourney Weaver in Doc Martin (ITV), coming away with her reputation intact.
Don Johnson (pre-comeback) in Sick Note (Sky)
Lindsay Lohan, also in Sick Note
Lohan in BBC3's absurdly patronising Indian Journey, commissioned by pretentious then channel controller Danny Cohen.
'Nuff said.
Typically, Cohen had a hissy fit when interviewed about the programme by Eddie Mair on BBC Radio 4's PM programme which turned into the "When Eddie Met Danny" show.
Danny perfecting his passive aggressive act that he used to good effect in his feud with Jeremy Clarkson.
Carl (Rocky) Weathers becomes another victim of the 'Curse of Cohen' when he co-starred in the pilot for the singularly awful Phoo Action (BBC3).
This cringe-inducing cut-price adaptation of a lousy Jamie Hewlett comic book appeared to be DC's fever dream of hipster coolness, the fact that shares in Hewlett's supposed street cred had been on the slide for years escaped the ivory tower sanctum of the then BBC3 controller.
Total cobblers:
Richard Gere - MotherFatherSon (BBC1)
Andy Samberg, Taylor Lautner & Andie MacDowell in Cuckoo (BBC3)

Heather (Boogie Nights) Graham - Bliss (Sky One).
No, I don't remember it either.
John Malkovich - ABC Murders (BBC1)
Maggie Gyllenhaal in?The Honourable Woman (BBC2)
Jeremy Piven does his usual tiresome schtick in Mr. Selfridge (ITV)
Shirley Maclaine in The Downton Abbey (ITV)
Anna Paquin in the 2004-style throwback Flack (first on W in the UK (apparently a TV channel or somesuch), now on Amazon Prime)
Tony Curtis - The Persuaders (ITV)
Robert Wagner in Colditz (BBC1)
