In one of the Goals that the issue mentioned; SDG5 Gender Equality where the university has taken approach on Shared Parental Leave (SPL), with the new legislation took effect in 2015 in UK; the university researched on SPL and found ‘that men under age 35 are significantly more likely to wish to take a more active role in caring for their children than previous generations of fathers.’
Sharing parental roles enable each side to continue to proceed their personal and career achievements and possibilities. This is one of the underneath reason of why gender equality (SDG5) is an accelerator for achieving the SDGs, the essence of SDGs of "leaving no-one behind’’
