Overcoming The Uphill Battle for Women In Finance

The financial industry isn’t exactly set up to help you succeed. It’s male-dominated, inaccessible, and unforgiving of women with families. It’s often a struggle for women to find their place among all the men and to be heard.?
This is not just the case for women in financial services. When it comes to women getting help with their finances, it’s also an uphill battle.
We believe that women need YOUR help. And the more successful you are as a financial advisor, the more women will feel like they can come to someone like you, for help with their money. Someone who asks the right questions, who really listens and gives relevant solutions that aren’t just about beating the market.?
Women often have to jump through hoops to get the financial advice they need. Many women are talked down to, ignored or even shunned during meetings with a more “traditional” financial advisor, especially if their spouse is there.?
This is totally unacceptable and why we, along with many others, are creating a movement committed to changing this entire dynamic to give more opportunities to women.
Barbara Provost and Maggie Nielsen are aligned with the same mission and found a way to help both female financial advisors and female clients in this battle, through their organization called Purse Strings. This mother and daughter duo founded the company to help both female advisors and female clients win together.
The two ladies came on my podcast,?Growing Your Financial Business… The Woman’s Way , to discuss their commitment and passion for creating change.
Listen here to see how you can be part of this important movement to help both women in financial services and women across the globe, who need your help.
