As kids, most of us grew up with the concept of Stranger Danger—the idea that talking to strangers was something to avoid, something that wasn’t safe. While this advice was meant to protect us, it planted an idea that’s stuck with many of us into adulthood: talking to people we don’t know can feel uncomfortable, even scary.
When it comes to marketing outreach, this mindset can hold us back. We might hesitate to reach out, to introduce ourselves, or to start conversations that could lead to meaningful connections.
