Overcoming Obstacles in the Social Security Disability Space

I came to Claimify with a decade of experience in the Social Security and Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits space. One thing you learn pretty quickly in the SSDI space is that it is an ever changing and competitive field, you need to think outside of the box to succeed. As with most industries, there are constantly challenges that need to be overcome. It is important to monitor trends and areas of opportunity for both our claimants and our carriers.?

Claimify is working with claimants who are most likely undergoing one of the hardest times in their lives. They are not feeling well and often are in and out of appointments on a daily basis. Our claimants usually have had no exposure to long term disability and SSDI, which leads us to one of Claimify’s driving questions: how can we tailor our products to better service our claimants and make their journey easier? We can educate them on SSDI and provide them with resources best suited for their needs and understanding. Most importantly, we can be patient and flexible to their needs.?

During my time at Claimify, I have helped improve a screening process model that allows us to process claims quickly and efficiently. Aside from educating the claimants we need to make sure that it is a benefit that they qualify for so that they are not filing unnecessarily. I have been able to use my knowledge of the industry to identify roadblocks and implement changes in our workflow to overcome these obstacles and offer the best and most convenient service possible.

Outside of our experienced team, our biggest asset thus far has been the use of technology. It has helped us strengthen our communication with our claimants. We offer a variety of different ways to communicate with our team and provide us with necessary information to secure a successful SSDI award while making it a smooth quick process for our claimants. Our claimants have access to Claimify’s secure platform before we even contact them. The platform allows claimants who do not want to speak on the phone to complete the required information at their own pace. They are able to use their Claimify online platform access throughout their life of their claim with Claimify to track the status of their claim, upload necessary documents, sign forms and contact us quickly and conveniently on their terms.

Additionally, I am sure we are all aware and can relate to the struggles we are having relying on the USPS to deliver mail. We spent time brainstorming how we can get necessary documents to a claimant in a timely manner and in a way where they can respond to us quickly. By using the technology that we already have and reflecting on the way the world operates, the idea of texting representation forms securely and using e-signature in a mobile friendly way became an obvious solution that is simple and effective. This has drastically changed our turnaround time allowing us to process claims much faster.?

While we continue to see longer wait times for decision making by the Social Security Administration, idea generation and collaboration by team members will help move the process along faster and that will continue to set Claimify apart in the industry. We are constantly looking for new ways to develop and integrate efficiencies in our business. While I have had a decade of experience in the industry, I continue to be impressed with Claimify’s ability to recognize challenges as they arise and their ability to quickly adapt and make changes to better suit our claimants’ needs and help us navigate what can be an extremely complex and tiring process.
