Getting things done and done well is a privilege. Many individuals have great aspirations, ideas, and desires but struggle to bring them to fruition. The mindset of "I want to do this" or "I have so much to accomplish" often lingers without translating into action. Instead, excuses become the norm, and tasks remain unfinished. While there are valid reasons that can hinder progress, it is evident that some individuals overcome these challenges and push forward. What sets them apart? Simply put, excuses are not an option for them.
Every individual has goals they wish to attain in life. However, many suffer from what can be described as the "entitlement syndrome." This mentality leads people to believe they deserve success without putting in effort. While legitimate obstacles can hinder progress, such as financial constraints, lack of resources, or personal struggles, there are still those who break through these barriers. Their success makes one wonder: What drives them to keep going while others remain stuck?
A striking observation is that Christians often undertake some of the most daring and life-risking endeavors. Meanwhile, many so-called worldly individuals approach life with a different kind of determination. Now, before jumping to conclusions and assuming this is an attack on Christians, let's take a deeper look at the reality of the situation.
Are there Christians who will stop at nothing to get things done? Yes. Are there Christians who integrate biblical principles into their businesses and succeed? Absolutely. But are there also Christians who use religion as a crutch, excusing poverty and laziness by attributing their struggles to "God’s will" rather than taking action? Unfortunately, yes. Similarly, among those labeled as "worldly," there are both high achievers and those who make excuses. However, the ratio of individuals who push through obstacles and achieve success seems to be significantly higher among non-religious individuals. Why is this the case?
It is not about sentiments or bias—it is about perspective and action. Christians are not just called to survive or simply make ends meet; they are meant to thrive and establish themselves on earth. Unfortunately, entitlement and an overreliance on divine intervention without corresponding action often hinder progress. The idea that "God will provide" is true, but faith without works is dead. Success requires not only faith but also effort, strategy, and persistence.

Excuses will never lead to progress, and entitlement will not build success. In a world filled with obstacles, there is always someone, somewhere, who is beating the odds. These individuals refuse to be held back by circumstances. They take responsibility for their lives, seek solutions, and work relentlessly toward their goals.
So, what can be done to shift from a mindset of entitlement to one of action? It starts with:
At the end of the day, success is not handed out it is earned. It requires grit, determination, and the willingness to step beyond comfort zones. The choice is simple: either be the person who constantly explains why things didn't happen or be the one who makes them happen. The world is filled with individuals who have the same dreams and aspirations as you, yet some succeed while others remain stagnant. The difference lies in mindset and action. If you want to achieve great things, stop making excuses and start making progress. The power to succeed is within your hands use it.
Excuses are comfortable, but they do not yield results. The entitled mindset only leads to stagnation. If you want to get things done and do them well, break free from the chains of procrastination and self-doubt. Commit to your goals, put in the effort, and watch as you transform your aspirations into reality.
