Last Tuesday, I found myself unusually irritated, getting annoyed at little things and finding faults everywhere. This change was so visible that even I couldn’t ignore it. Thanks to my regular meditation practice, I quickly recognized this shift in my mindset and decided to address it head-on.
Meditation has helped me a lot in seeing my thoughts clearly, so I knew I needed to dig deeper. I turned to root cause analysis (RCA) to figure out what was really bothering me. But when you're irritated and annoyed, it’s hard to see yourself clearly because these feelings accumulate and pull you down.
Fortunately, my high energy levels helped me pull myself up. I started analyzing my thoughts systematically. As part of my self-improvement journey, pen and paper are my best friends. They help me demystify any tangled thoughts. I began writing down everything that was irritating me, and after half a page, I finally pinpointed the root cause. The moment I hit that nail, all my irritation and annoyance vanished like a ghost disappearing in the face of light.
The relief I felt was immense, like a refreshing breeze carrying my favorite fragrance. It was as if I had been sailing through a stormy sea and suddenly found calm waters.
This real-life event reinforced how crucial it is to regularly practice meditation. It helps navigate through challenging emotions and prevents them from escalating.
Taking care of my mind and myself is a priority, and I hope sharing this experience helps someone in my LinkedIn community. Feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions.
