5 天前Thank you, J.T. I just had a series of conversations about this topic. People are chalking up their job-seeking challenges to ageism, and say nothing can be done because it’s a life fact. I have two problems with this: — the problem is likely the job market. Lots of people are struggling to get jobs, both above and below 40 — If it truly is discrimination, they can absolutely do something about that. I’m in HR, and I can honestly say that companies are afraid of ageism lawsuits. But, it’s more comfortable to blame a concept than it is took take a deep dive into the cause of the roadblocks. Last: you are 100% right! Ageism, plus all kinds of discrimination actively exist in our world. That’s why it’s so important that we NOT accept is as a norm. As long as we keep doing that, discrimination will have VIP access to our society.
