Overcome your fears

Overcoming your fears is vital for your success and the realization of your dreams. It is important to understand that there are two types of fears built into the human body. The first is the fear of falling and the second fear of loud noises. Other fears as we will know are not real and yet they stop us from achieving our dreams. In other words, any fear other than the two, I mentioned, is learned. Thus, you can unlearn these fears to achieve the life you want to live.

What is your biggest fear that is holding you back? Is it the fear of rejection or the fear of failure? What is the biggest fear you have that is holding you back from achieving the life you want? Once you can answer the above question, then it is important to ask where did you learn that fear. Where did you learn the fear of rejection or the fear of failure?

Fears are further categorized into two main categories. The first is primal fear and the second is intellectual. You need to understand which categories are your fears. Primal fear is a fear that is linked with physical pain and death attached to that fear. Intellectual fear is made up in an individual head, they do not exist. Once you have identified the intellectual fear how can you overcome it? The simple answer to the question is that you cannot overcome, it since these fears do not exist. One of my favorite quotes by Marie Curie says "Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood.” Thus any intellectual fear is a biological interaction happening inside of you. it is Intellectual fear pain is an emotional one, not physical pain. The emotional trauma caused by a past experience that led to the establishment of this barrier is the fear of failure or rejection. Then we can overcome these fears by taking the needed action

What is important in this issue is that successful people do have fears, then how do they overcome them? Well, they choose to not give in to it and move on. successful people feel the fear and then they take action anyway.

Here I share with you 4 ways to deal with your fear of failure (as an example).

1. Failure: depersonalize your failures. When you are feeling rejected it is not you but the product or service you are offering. Detach yourself from the negative outcomes.

2. Be realistic: when you start a project or have an idea we usually start with a big idea or a large goal. Try to set a lower goal to be able to achieve it

3. Anxiety: learn to befriend the feeling of anxiety. Because this means that you are growing out of your comfort zone.

4. Repercussions: Ask yourself what is the worst that can happen. Taking that action is much better than not taking any actions we could regret.

To succeed today we all must face our fears acknowledge and accept them, and continue on our path. To succeed we need to take the hard road to fail and learn on the way.
