Come on why does Lady Gaga, Sam Humphrey, Dwayne Johnson, and Ryan Reynolds, have stress and anxiety??
In my practice, I work with influencers, professional athletes, and celebrities and I hear over and over about the stress, and anxiety that is ever-present in their lives.??But it doesn’t have to be.
Where does stress come from? Well, I’m glad you asked…well you did in my head??. Lol?
If we go about to our old caveman brain and the idea of fight or flight. Stress/ worry/ anxiety comes from the unknown. Is there something out there that is going to eat me??
If we really were face to face I’d ask what are you stressing about? I hear you say the getting roles, overwhelmed with so many things going on, everyone that comes to you asking for something, dealing with agents, family matters, paparazzi and the list goes on. (yes I’m not always in my right mind as I have conversations with you in my mind and I’ve worked years to get that way but that’s another story???). Well, first let’s go back to the caveman, how would he get rid of stress? He’d build a fire, set a trap, and sharpen sticks. In short, he would “do” something.?
Action, “doing” something gets us out of our head. Stress can only happen in our head, it might show up on our body with tight muscles, overeating or under eating but it’s still only in our head. When you are on the actually out living your life not sitting inside thinking about it you won’t be stressed…hurt, exhausted, or maybe even frustrated but you won’t be stressed because you will be in action “doing” something. You won’t have time to stress before you pass out from exhaustion at night, you won’t stress when you are shooting or fighting, you might stress before but not while it’s happening.?
How do we get over stress? The answer is to first understand what is stressing you. Right now, it’s one thing, later it might be stressing over asking for help. The question becomes what can we “do” what action can we take right now? For the paparazzi, did you tell everyone on Instagram or twitter where you are, why? Lol , how about dressing down, do you have discreet protection if you need it, do you have friends you can go out with, are you staying away from the hot spots??
Are you familiar with the 7Ps? I don’t think I’ve mentioned them before but as I said I have a horrible memory…always have. The Army Corp of Engineers came up with them decades ago. Proper Prior Planning Precludes the Possibility of a Piss Poor Potential. Or put another way the more you are prepared the better the outcome. But there’s more to that. If you are taking the time and energy to prepare the less time you will have to overthink it and stress. Does that make sense???
If you are stressed about asking for help the question becomes what can you “do”, see there’s that word again, about it? You can swallow your fear and know that the moment you reach out change with start. You can talk to your friends or family, or a coach about your fear or concern.?

Now if you like to stress “do” nothing or talk to other people about it and not the person that you are stressing over. If we are honest that is easier!????Lol Although it’s also weaker and does nothing to actually deal with the thing that is causing the stress. That’s when we make a decision, we might regret it later.?
So stress is something we are scared of or worried about that we don’t think we have any control over. Stress is only in our head and comes from not being in action or doing something.?
The way to overcome it is simple. 1. Identify what we are actually stressing over. 2. Do whatever you can to be ready or resolve the fear or worry.?
That’s it two bloody things…and yes amazing one those things can be bloody daunting but like everything this article has lead you up to this point in your life, life has gotten you ready it has set you up so that you can do what you can to release stress and anxiety.
