For the third year, Veuve Clicquot, Elle magazine and Old Mutual have been celebrating successful women. These awards seek to identify and celebrate outstanding women and honour the strides they have made in business.

In the entrepreneur category, the judges were looking for women who display a pioneering approach, business acumen, dynamism, innovation, audacity and tenacity.

They must also have a genuine commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices, such as environmental policies, employee benefits, workforce diversity and community schemes/relationships.

The candidate must be a role model who mentors, pushes boundaries and has the ability to motivate others. She must also be a big supporter and enabler of other women and must have opened up opportunities for them.

A strong personal brand and playing a key role in the industry they operate in was also being sought.
