Checks on a container of "extra-virgin" oil
Specifically , a container containing a large quantity of oil documented as "extra-virgin" was intercepted . The in-depth inspection of the goods, carried out through the taking of some samples promptly analyzed thanks to the help of the officials of the Central Inspectorate for the Protection of Quality and Repression of Fraud of Agri-Food Products (ICQRF), revealed evident qualitative discrepancies which did not allowed the product to be classified as “Evo” .
The seizure and complaint for attempted commercial fraud
The soldiers of the 1st Metropolitan Operational Unit therefore seized the over thirty tons of the agri-food product and proceeded with the free denunciation to the local Public Prosecutor's Office of the owner of the company in the province of Andria held responsible for the attempted fraud on the market .
