Over R600?000 raised for GWF at London charity auction

We have the best friends, partners and supporters in the world! We’re over the moon about the results of the Steadfast Africa London Charity Cocktail Party and Auction.
It was held at The Queen’s Club in West Kensington on 21 September to raise funds for GWF as well as two other deserving non-profits: Remembering Wildlife and Heartshine.
Lots that were generously donated ranged from premium safari lodges to luxury lifestyle brands and original artwork.?
The auction raised more than R1.4-million in total, with R600?000 allocated to Good Work Foundation. The proceeds we receive will help us enormously in furthering our work of empowering rural communities to embark on their own transformative journeys.?
“The generous donations received will go towards our Open Learning Academy, where we continue to bring wonder-filled learning opportunities to rural school children,” says GWF's Head of Development, Gemma Thompson, who attended the event on our behalf.

The winning bidders walked away with enviable South African travel experiences, including a once-in-a-lifetime journey on Rovos Rail to Victoria Falls, an eight-night Western Cape itinerary, high-end safari experiences and villa stays. Original artworks and jewellery also went under the hammer.
