wine is grown in our region. The hill country around Rust is one of the most traditional in Austria. Shell limestone soils, weathered primary rock and loess soils offer our family ideal conditions for wines with an impressive character. Our family has been cultivating vineyards in the free town of Rust since 1650 - meanwhile for 373 wine vintages. In the photo, the earth is loosened up in spring using traditional methods.
