Over 100k euro for Ukraine forces from romanians!

Six days ago, after Trump and Vance's villainous attempt to ridicule Ukrainian President Zelenskyy we started a fundraising campaign for the Ukrainian Army. I provide here an update on the amount raised and other details.

1. But first, I would like to thank all of you who have made this financial sacrifice for people you do not know and will never know, but who you know are defending not only the sovereign territory of their state, but also our common families and values. But even more than that, they are the fighters defending Europe from Vladimir Putin's barbaric horde.

Just these very days, a new UN report has documented hundreds of cases of sexual violence against Ukrainian civilians by Putin's barbarians. Rape has been used systematically (i.e. on a large scale, in a way that indicates the implementation of an order or plan to demoralize and subjugate Ukrainians) against Ukrainian civilian children, women and men.

In these days, Trump, has halted all military aid to Ukraine, all humanitarian aid to Ukraine, all economic and intelligence aid essential to the survival of civilians in Ukraine. Attention. Civilians first. Donald Trump is perfectly politically aligned with Vladimir Putin's intentions to subjugate the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, a state whose borders were recognized in 1991 by all UN member states and which, following the Budapest Memorandum, gave up its nuclear arsenal - the 3rd largest on the planet at the time - in exchange for security assurances (note, not guarantees, but assurances). The original signatories of the memorandum: Russia, the US and the UK. If Ukraine had that arsenal today, would they still have invaded Ukraine in 2014, illegally annexed Crimea or invaded Donbas again in 2015? Would it have violated the Minsk treaties 25 more times? Would it have invaded again on February 24, 2022?

The Budapest Memorandum stipulates that none of the signatories will violate the sovereignty, territorial, political or economic integrity of Ukraine, using military means or economic or any other means of pressure. In 2014 Russia violated these security assurances first. A week ago, the Trump administration violated them as well with the legal economic blackmail of the "rare minerals deal" and then by attempting to force elections in a country at war by trying to racket its political opposition. Zelenskyy, Petro Poroshenko - the former president and Yulia Tymoshenko. Both have refused.

These days, because of Trump's criminal decisions explained above and repeatedly, civilians in Ukraine are dying under the Russians' terrorist bombings of residential blocks, civilian critical infrastructure. All the more, these days, those defending Ukraine, need our help, Europe's help, our help, the help of every citizen who believes in the same values of Western civilization, which puts at the very center of the existence of our civilization the respect for human life. Europe is becoming the last island of liberal democracy, along with a few other countries on other continents. Romania is in Europe and Europe shows in these terrible times that it is living up to expectations!

2. The campaign that we started on 02.03.2025 has raised up to the time of writing this message the amount of:

111.670 EURO!

From 1994 donations. So almost 2000 Romanians have donated to this campaign so far.

As I said the first time, I repeat it again: no money will be used for the purchase of offensive or lethal military equipment, but for the purchase of equipment necessary to save lives, such as reconnaissance drones, jamming equipment (Electronic Warfare) or equipment necessary for the proper functioning of the military units that together we will help, by increasing the chance of survival of each soldier.

The first unit that will benefit from part of this amount is the Kraken Regiment, which is under the command of General Kyrylo Budanov's GUR, fighting in the hardest places on the Ukrainian front. Two other units that will be helped are two units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, exceptional fighters, who carry out some of the most dangerous war missions, and the Romanian-speaking Romanian Battlegroup "Getica", a Romanian and Moldovan soldier group of Romanian and Moldovan citizens .

3. So far I can consider, having experience in fundraising for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, that this is the campaign that raised the most money in such a short time. I refer to the reason as the "Trump Effect".

The campaign was also noticed in Ukraine and newspapers there started to write about it and Romanians helping. Thus, we all became ambassadors of Romania through empathy, support, involvement and help given to those who are now in huge need of it.

All over Europe and the world, tens of thousands of citizens like you and me are doing the same. The Czechs, for example, will buy a Black Hawk and they, 5 days ago, had €120,000 raised. The Danes, Swedes, Norwegians, Baltics, Germans, Dutch, French, Italians, Spanish, British, Americans (yes, because Trump is not the US and the US is not Trump. Trump is temporary. USA is forever), Canadians and others.

The campaign continues. There are still units that I have contacted that could use help, but I can only thank you now for what you have done so far and thank Investigatoria, Defense Romania, Epoch Times Romania and Marco Badea from Explicativ for propagating this campaign that is eminently designed to save lives.
