An outstanding conference at UNC-Chapel Hill: "Going Viral: Impact and Implications of The 1918 Flu Pandemic"

The University of North Carolina-Gillings School of Global Public Health (UNC-GSGPH) shone brightly this week. This was made exceedingly clear to those who attended the conference “Going Viral: Impact and Implications of the 1918 Flu Pandemic." What made the 3-day conference unique was the depth and breadth of the content. Every aspect of this global health crisis was addressed: science, medicine, public health, research, culture, communications, literature, and history. There was no key area of knowledge left unexplored.

Congratulations to Dr. Barbara Rimer, Dean of the UNC-GSGPH and her team. And also thanks to the UNC University Libraries, the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and RTI International for their participation and support of this well-attended and highly informative conference.
