To address this question, we have built The Outside World: a project within ftrprf dedicated to exploring societal trends through weekly research and publications.?

Originally conceived as a sister organization to ftrprf, The Outside World has now been fully integrated into our organization. This project represents our commitment to improve our social antenna for society— initially capturing the pulse of the Netherlands and currently broadening our scope to Europe. We aim to provide organizations, institutions and businesses with the insights they need to understand societal trends, adapt proactively, create positive impact, and thrive in an ever-evolving world.

why The Outside World?

The world is changing rapidly, and keeping pace with societal developments has never been more critical. By understanding the broader narrative shaping the world around us, businesses can prepare for what’s next and make informed, futureproof decisions. To do this, we’ve identified five key themes that we will be closely monitoring:

3. Conservation of natural resources – Diving into the critical need to preserve our planet’s finite resources.
4. Ftrprf finance & investing – Delving into sustainable (in the broader sense of the word) financial practices and investments for the long term.
5. Digital society – Examining the intersection of technology and society where ethics, and societal impact play a crucial role.

Each theme is carefully outlined with a clear definition and keywords, serving as the foundation for our analysis. Every week, our analysts diligently monitor these topics, drawing on reliable open-source information to stay attuned to the latest developments. One theme is then highlighted in a weekly featured article, cycling through all five themes over a structured five-week rotation. This consistent approach allows us to dive deep into each topic, providing clarity and actionable insights that make even the most complex societal trends accessible and relevant.
