OUTRAGE - MASSACRE: Over 200 dead after ethnic massacre of Amhara in Ethiopia’s Oromo region

Here is our top story today: Today News Africa’s?Noah Pitcher?reports that “An attack by a rebel group in Ethiopia’s Oromo region Sunday left at least 200 people dead, according to witnesses. The massacre appears to be ethnically motivated as victims belong to the Amhara ethnic group and witnesses allege that the Oromo Liberation Army is responsible for the attack.

"The Oromo Liberation Army is labeled as a terrorist organization by the Ethiopian government. However, it denied responsibility for the massacre and instead blamed a militia aligned with the regional government supporting Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed." And that is our top story today as another crisis explodes in the East African nation, the continent’s second most populous country after Nigeria.
