Outlook.com Gets a Facelift
"The fresh new look of the Mail experience will now be standard for all users"
"All Outlook.com users now get the benefits of a faster email experience, a smarter inbox, and better personalization."
"With improved Skype integration ... your conversation appears in its own chat window."
Outlook.com is a robust, web-based email program that is free. And under the hood, it's powered by the Office 365 engine - you can add an Outlook.com email account to an Android or Apple phone by choosing 'Exchange' during setup. But that's not all - you not only get Calendar and People (Contacts), you also get the free online versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote among other Office 365 apps and services, such as the personal version of OneDrive with 5GB of file storage.
What can you not do with Outlook.com? You cannot bring your own domain name, such as yourcompany.com. And like some of the minimal Office 365 plans, there are no desktop versions of the Office software. And you cannot store 1TB of files like you can with an Office 365 business plan.
