Outlook breaking edit/copy/edit paste?
Anyone know what’s going on here with Microsoft Outlook?
I got a spam/phishing email (shown below):
The Review Invitation URL [emphasis added] is:
https://sumo.com/sumomail/click/2a93e11e-1097-41d2-844f-e7f46bb679bb?href=https%253A%2F%2Fyunemark.com/fj88-b00n5-93m-c32b-o29v-24h-e60-t55e-c95?e5=roger_grimes@infoworld.com
But any time I copy and paste it from Outlook for O365 64-bit (ver 16.0.13029.20342), to anywhere else, it removes the domain name and looks like this, which then fails to load:
/sumomail/click/2a93e11e-1097-41d2-844f-e7f46bb679bb?href=https%253A%2F%2Fyunemark.com/fj88-b00n5-93m-c32b-o29v-24h-e60-t55e-c95?e5=roger_grimes@infoworld.com
If I open in the Hotmail or nearly any other method, the entire URL is displayed and can be clicked. It appears to be a "bug" with Outlook 0365 or perhaps it's a security feature of some kind trying to help me? I'm guessing bug. Anyone seen this before?
When I put in the full URL into a browser it takes me to a Google Firebase storage bucket like so many other phishing scams do.
