Outcomes revealed: Are patients as satisfied with receiving immediate digital triage Advice & Guidance as they are with being referred to hospital?
As digital healthcare is nowadays becoming more common amongst patients, HBSUK decided to compare the satisfaction level of patients who received online Advice & Guidance (A&G) to those who were being referred to hospital for a face-to-face appointment.
We looked at the patient satisfaction scores collected from thousands of patients across multiple specialties on our digital triage and online consultations platform - Virtual Lucy ?.
Below are the results - our data shows that patients were?as satisfied?to receive A&G as with being referred for treatment.
What's more, for some specialties such as physiotherapy, patients tend to choose digital over face-to-face appointments:
What are the advantages of digital care?
Assessments and physiotherapies can be performed virtually from the comfort of patients’ home without the associated travel and waiting times at hospital sites. And patients are usually seen by a specialist much quicker - within 48 hours.
In addition, by using digital care services when appropriate, we support the NHS by freeing up capacity for more urgent cases and, in the long term, reducing hospital waiting times.
