Is the outcome more important than the journey of going through itself?

All my respect and love to India team! We learned so much with you! You gave all your heart and soul to the World Cup campaign and you played as one of the competitive teams in the world!
I wanted to share something personal with you all. I am sure most of the families were together watching the match. We were also together and watching the match with great energy.
My son is 13 years old and in between of the match, he was disheartened and wanted to even switch off TV.
Though I am not a very big cricket fan but this was about respecting Indian Team and their hard work!
I told him, "Whatever happens, today you and me will see the match and the entire presentation till the end" to go through this! Win or lose - is a part of the game son!
I added,
Going through matters a lot!
Failure is going to teach us, what success may not!
And we are sitting on our sofas, having food and watching it on TV, think about them who are facing the millions of crowd LIVE! Feel their pressure, see their faces, observe their body and just be there, it will help you learn!
And we stayed till the end of presentation.
Some of the learnings which we discussed as a family:
1. Facing the Result: As humans, we all want to win that trophy, win that match or win whatever we want to! But we all know we want to give our best shot at each time!
Giving our best shot is important and then let the result be the result!
Yes, it does break the heart sometimes, but again, as Dravid mentions in the interview, the dust will settle, the sun will shine and we will move on, and that's Life too! We learned how Dravid was facing all press members and keeping his calm.
Life is also about facing each result - in our favour or not, with the calmness, learn from it and move on!
2. Play till the last ball : When Australia had just 2 runs left, Head's wicket was taken by India Team. I think this is incredible, it was so easy to give up that catch. We have anyways lost it, isn't it?
They kept putting the efforts till the last to what they could do the best!

I do so many open workshops and webinars. Ofcourse, there are times I am repeating the same product to new people again and again. And sometimes towards the end, I lack energy and the reminder to my unconscious is that this last minute will make a bigger difference to the people I want to touch and to my team.
Just play till the last ball, keeping your spirit high always towards the end can be a game changer for life!
3. Play each move as no one is watching: Each game is a game.
How do I know that I am definitely going to win each move, I may not! But if pressure gets created by the outside environment, then it becomes more tougher to make those moves. This is just my opinion based on my experience too!
Don't you think the Indian team would have been seeing, hearing and feeling the vibe in the starting itself when as started to lose wickets.
I feel, the external environment is one of the most important aspect and what if, we as players, play the game as if no one is watching and just play the best! Easier said than done, though important to remember for us as a learning!
Just play your game without feeling the external pressure, the game can be different! I meet so many independent entrepreneurs, trainers and coaches who has to sell themselves and play the game everyday, I would like them to remember this, do it with that confidence that no one is watching!
4. Self-Reflection :
Lastly, learn from each game. Rahul Dravid, has been so pragmatic about learning from the game. He mentioned about let the dust settle down, let the sun shine tomorrow, let us take time to learn and reflect.
Ofcourse, Australia team has won the world cup 6th time now! Don't you think the senior reflections to their team, the strategy and that last minute changes would have helped them to change their physiology and actions!
Also India team must have used the self reflection of so many matches which we won.
Self-reflecting each game, carrying them in my life and remembering them is one of the learnings which I can't stop talking about. I still want to do better in my life.
Today I thank India team for all the efforts, dedication, perseverance and energy they have given to this campaign and The World Cup!
Congratulations to The Australia Team!
And lastly Life is a game, play and enjoy till the last ball!
Thanks & Regards
