Is Outbound Marketing Dead?

Is Outbound Marketing Dead?

Are the glory days of outbound marketing dead and gone? It is certainly true that additional laws and regulations have tightened its grip on the industry and seedy characters calling from unregulated jurisdictions continue to bring it into a negative spotlight. So what does that mean for the companies playing by the rules? It certainly makes choosing a trusted solution more important than ever to your organization.

Snapshot of the Industry

At a time when companies need to stretch their marketing dollar more than ever, the reputation of “telemarketing” has seemingly never been lower and the rules and regulations have made it tougher and tougher. Consumers are being bombarded with robocalls, ringless voicemails, and any number of deceitful tactics by unscrupulous companies to their home numbers as well as their cell phones, but the laws that come out to combat these tactics seem to only hurt the companies striving to walk the straight and narrow making every effort to play by the rules.

Strategic Repositioning

Marketing efforts need to be precise and strategic to ensure you are not bombarding your potential customers, but rather a strategic plan that reaches out when they have the highest probability of being available and the highest propensity to accept what you have to offer. This has to be a concerted effort. Treating your leads like gold not only requires the right customer relationship management tools, but also the right training for the staff and agents speaking to customers to view it as managing a relationship with the customer for the long term. You want to create a brand-loyal customer who can influence others into your funnel while promoting a solid reputation in your industry.

It sounds like a lot but it’s less complex than it seems when you work with the right cloud-based CRM software and dialer software applications to manage the flow of information. Information is not just your lifeline, but your goldmine. How you gather it and use it can put you in a White Hat – or a Black Hat. The systems and processes you put in place now can make the difference in where you are not just next year, but five, and ten years from now.

Work with the Right People

So you understand the importance and you want to take the next step but what is the solution? Training and monitoring your staff has to be a tireless and vigilant initiative but you have to give them the right tools and data to make the right decisions. With all of the rules and regulations you have to follow, you want to ensure you don’t cross the line, but with the right tools you can run right up to it and get the most for your marketing dollar. You need a front-to-back solution that gives you the data you need to understand your customer base and the effectiveness of your campaigns. ChaseData has that solution. They can help you to set up a proven, scalable, and comprehensive solution at a price that won’t break the budget.  If you’re interested in learning more about ChaseDataget your free demo.

Outbound is definitely not dead. It's just done in a different fashion than the traditional predictive dialer to a consumer's land line. 2 way SMS, landing pages and short codes is the new way to communicate with customers and build your opt-in data base. Text "Jayme" to 61705 to see what I mean.
