Out of the Abyss
I resigned my Church Sunday after really struggling with the decision for some time. I had became deeply depressed and at times so low I felt completely worthless. For the last year I lived in defeat and I allowed negative influences and people to effect me. I gained 70 pounds and sunk deeply into the abyss. It effected my marriage, my ministry, and my relationships with everyone. Something had to give. It was time to come out of the abyss.
So I started on a diet and the Lord opened a door for full time work as a Chaplin which I really enjoy. I have been going working out and have changed my nutrition plan. I have lost my religion and started focusing on my relationship with God, my family, and positive people who God puts in my path. I have started climbing out of the abyss.
This morning the Lord directed me to Hosea 10:12 and said plow up your fallow ground and go from the abyss to the Oasis. I am going to focus on Faith, Family, Friends, and the Future! Every journey will have bumps in the road, the key is not to get stuck in the pot holes that turn into sink holes. God bless you all today and I hope you get out of your abyss!

8 年May you experience the Joy, Love, and Grace God brings you every day. When times are dark, your Faith will sustain you. As the fallow ground is overturned, just keep your focus on what is being planted, so it truly does bloom into an oasis.

8 年God often times ,makes us the way you have written, to get us where He wants us for service. He moved me to 800 miles away to do His bidding in this new place and new position. Read His word ,pray, trust His leading and power.
